I am a highly experienced clinician who understands the essential role that both compassion and dedication play in effective therapy. My practice focuses on working with adolescents and adults struggling with behavioral and emotional challenges, particularly those stemming from or exacerbated by substance misuse
The clinical approach utilized ,addresses the emotional, situational, and behavioral factors that often contribute to academic and or functioning difficulties as well as family conflict, while simultaneously targeting issues related to substance use or mental health symptoms. A holistic view is taken, often involving family members and couples in the therapeutic process to conduct thorough assessments and develop practical, evidence-based solutions.
Past clinical experience includes having served as Clinical Director for adolescent and adult substance abuse and mental health programs in both Manhattan and Staten Island, positions that provided me with continual exposure to cutting-edge, research-driven treatment models for adolescents, couples, and families.
In addition to my clinical work, I have been been deeply involved in academia. I have taught graduate-level courses in child and family therapy at both Monmouth University and NYU’s School of Social Work. I currently serves as a Field Instructor for NYU, Fordham University, and Hunter College’s social work and Applied Psychology programs.
My MSW was earned from NYU’s School of Social Work, along with a Postgraduate Training Certificate from the Doctoral Program. I also hold a State Certification in Addiction Treatment.
